The Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center (ECADC), will host a gallery evening called Tallinn Thursday on March 28 with extended opening hours as part of the TMW Arts programme.

At 19:30 we wait you at Juhan Kuus Documenatry Photo centre (Telliskivi 60a). We’ll be introducing the
the story and works of photographer Juhan Kuus. Kuus was an extraordinary character and excellent photographer, whose work was virtually unknown in Estonia prior to being discovered by Toomas Järvet, one of the leading figures behind the Center. At the gallery tour, Toomas Järvet will share stories of Juhan Kuus and the influence of his legacy on Estonian photography. Järvet’s personal contacts with Kuus, as well as the making of a documentary about him, have lead to different trails, which add colourful nuance to his story.

Free admission is available to children and students up to 18 years old, members of the Documentary Photo Centre Club, visitors with disabilities and their companions, and war refugees.

*Discounted ticket (with relevant documentation): Full-time teachers and lecturers, university students, pensioners, conscripts of the Republic of Estonia, and members of the Documentalists’ Guild (based on a provided list).

Visits outside regular hours are possible for curator tours, school groups, group and private visits, special events, and more.
